Sonic Girl is both a nostalgic pop icon and a rebellious anti-superstar, and she is a bright hyperpop star on the Danish music scene. With clever concepts, elements of performance art and lots of big pop hooks, she draws the listener into a futuristic soundscape.
Comparisons with the likes of Caroline Polachek and Charli XCX are obvious, but Sonic Girl is nonetheless her own. She proves that she can also throw a party on her collaboration with the party kings of Infernal on “I Won’t Be Crying”. Now she’s bringing a glittery and glitchy pop party to Design Matters.
